Everything you need to know about color-pick precise erasure
Manual mode is ideal when auto mode can't precisely identify the background — for example, when the background and subject are similar in color, when you need to keep specific areas, or when you only want to remove part of the background. Manual mode uses a color picker to precisely select target colors, with a mask brush to protect the subject.
Use the Pick tool to click on a background color in your image. Click 'Remove' to execute Flood Fill, which spreads outward from the pick point, turning similarly colored connected pixels (controlled by the tolerance slider) transparent. You can pick and remove multiple times to gradually clean up the background.
The Protect Brush lets you mark areas you want to keep before removing the background. Masked pixels won't be affected by Flood Fill, even if their color is similar to the background. Great for protecting subject edges, text, or objects with background-similar colors. Press M to switch to the brush, E for the eraser.
Manual mode supports JPG, PNG, WebP, and BMP formats, up to 25MB per image. Results are exported as transparent PNG files. Unlimited undo/redo is supported (Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y), so you can experiment freely.
